Highlights of 2013

Epic Event Planning by Jessica & Kourtney has had our BEST YEAR in 2013 in our 4 1/2 years of being in business!  We are thankful for the many opportunities that we’ve had to assist in planning events “that will make history!”  We are also very happy to have met new, wonderful vendors as well as working with many that we’ve depended on in the past!

The best way to describe is by showing many of our events through pictures!

Lauren and Nick’s August Ceremony overlooked the gorgeous Pittsburgh skyline at Shannopin Country Club!

Added to the simple, yet elegant baby’s breath lining the ceremony chairs, the new concept of opening the seats to all was shown through this great sign “Pick a Seat, Not a Side.  Today We’re All Family!”

Bunches of Baby’s Breath filled the guest tables!

Candlelight and Baby’s Breath adorned the large fireplace located behind the head table.

“Let Love Sparkle” – Guests were given long sparklers to send-off the bride and groom!

Marissa and Nick’s September Wedding added beautiful touches of turquoise throughout the decor! Florals by Carrie Anne PowellDSC_7608

The Bridal Party struts through Pittsburgh in their turquoise shoes outside of the Omni William Penn (location of the reception) to get pictures at a local park.

The Urban Room at the Omni speaks for itself with its high ceiling and chic decor!

Courtney wanted her son, Ivan’s, 1st Birthday to be a very natural, outdoor event!  Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm provided the outdoor birthday party space with picnic tables.

Epic Event Planning designed the floral centerpieces that were placed in burlap wrapped mason jars tied with red twine ribbon.

As berry picking was an activity provided by the farm, berries were incorporated in the cake provided by Bella Christie and Lil Z’s Sweet Boutique.

The children’s table included a Paint It Yourself Pot as an activity for each child during the party and as a favor.

Bella Christie also made cake pops for the guests (acorns, blueberries, and strawberries)!

Cooper’s 1st Birthday party had a “Lil Monster” Theme as it was during the week of Halloween!  Hosted by Jessica (Epic Event Planning Consultant) – all food, decor, etc. was made by Jessica herself!  For All Family Farms was the setting for the event during their Pumpkinpalooza – the party was located in the barn!

Each guest table was covered in polka dot covers and adorned with monster heads made from tissue poms!

A kid’s station to “Make Your Own Monster” Mask acted as favors for the children.

Matching Monster Cookies were added to the dessert table!

Monster Oreo Cookies were at the dessert table for each guest – made as a lollipop with polka dot straws!

Guests sat in the homemade photo booth (on hay) where guests could make themselves into monsters!

Kristen’s and Robb’s Modern Circular/Meets Nature reception was held at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Lilli-Maeg Florals did a beautiful job on a variety of centerpieces that adorned each table incorporated “circular” elements such as spider mums, hydrangeas, and moss balls!

Large Urns filled with natural florals welcomed the guests into the ballroom!

The round lighting in the ballroom was inspiration for this “circular modern” look!

Bella Christie and Lil Z’s Sweet Boutique created a beautiful dessert table filled with their own goodies as well as family cookies!

The guests had plenty of goodies to choose from as Pittsburgh Candy Buffet provided a Dr. Seuss Themed (The bride, an elementary school teacher, had a Dr. Seuss Inspired classroom and wanted to share her love for Dr. Seuss) Candy Table with live goldfish filling bowls!

Pittsburgh Popcorn was displayed also as a favor for guest to help themselves!
