During the wedding planning process, finding your essential vendors is most important. Once your theme and design is determined, the first thing on your list should be to choose your florist. Epic Event Planning by Jessica & Kourtney has worked with many florists over the years, but a few stand out in our minds. Mt. Lebanon Floral is definitely one of EEP’s top choices for not only style and beauty but for budget-friendly pricing.
Carmel, current owner of Mt. Lebanon Floral, has been designing there for 23 years. Following the influence of her mother and grandmother, who were experienced gardeners, Carmel’s love for flowers led her to start working in a greenhouse at the age of 22 where she stayed for two years. Carmel says, “I knew I had to make a career of my passion and the rest would follow.”
Carmel describes one of her great memories in the business when she collaborated with Veronica Varos Photography, Glitter & Grit, Iron Eden, and Ansley Esterline to do her first real styled shoot. “It was so liberating to create just for art’s sake. The day lasted 12 hours, and we totally transformed the space. Those photos are still some of my very favorite and the friends formed are very strong. We were ecstatic when Bride’s decided to blog about it and these images are still circulating.”
When asked why our clients should choose Carmel, she explains, “I pour my hear and soul into what I create. I strive to push boundaries, find new products, and educate myself yearly. I collaborate on at least four styled shoots a year to challenge myself and make new connections. I eat, sleep, and breathe flowers.”
Epic Event Planning by Jessica & Kourtney has witnessed Carmel’s passion for her career in very successful and impressive florals done for our clients. We would happily recommend her services! Even better, hire EEP who can join forces with Carmel to create an amazing theme/design for your wedding/event!
